| Moving School "HAPPY COMPUTERS" - IT Center.

"HAPPY COMPUTERS" is a Joint venture of MovingSchool and International Rotary club .
The Rotary Club of Mapusa is involved to monitor the running of the” Happy computers “ It is a Free Computer and Literacy Training Center and was inaugurated on 7 th March , 2010.
Objectives
1. To provide free service to the downtrodden children of the society to train them in the Information Technology.
2.The Movingschool children who are about 8 to 12 years will be trained.
3.The children will learn the applications like paint , MS Office , Calculators etc.
4. The MovingSchool children will access the Internet with facebook , Skype , Google , Alta Vista , Wikipedia , E-mailing , youtube , Google Earth , Downloading , etc. and also the basic windows usage with entertainment.
Location
The IT Centre is situated at D'Souza House, H. No. 3 / 29 / 1 , Gadekar Bhatlem , Pernem , Goa. It is half a kilometer from the pernem city (Temple with elephant).
The center has a compund for the safety fo the children and easily visible from the road. The center has drinking water and toilet facilities.
Teacher
Miss. Utteja Uttam Teli , a graduate in BCA (Bachelor in Computer Application) is a teacher for the MovingSchool "HAPPY COMPUTERS" IT Centre , Pernem , Goa.
Children
10 Children along with their teacher travel from the moving school kiranpani and Arambol ,Goa The children learn their studies in the morning session and attend the IT Centre during the evening session of the day. The poor and needy children from the local schools will use this facility during free hours. Such children are in limited numbers.
Facilities
- 1. 12 lap tops (10 for children, 01 for teacher, 01 kept as spare)
- 2. 12 computer chairs.
- 3. Projector and the screen
- 4. 02 digital cameras
- 5. Internet facility
Vision
The Movingschool children will definitely get benefit from the”Happy computers”- IT center.The access to the internet will broaden their knowledge. The children will open up to the entire world We believe in learning with fun and happiness. The computer training will be great milestone in life of every child. It is dream cum true project
