Kummit (=Sponsors) is a  group of people in Finland, who are supporting Moving School.

This group is formed by Tytti and Esa Mäkelä and it is growing steadily.

A few years ago Tytti and Esa were taken to see the floating schools by a former teacher, Pirkko Heikkilä. They all really appreciated the work Moving School is doing, the enthusiasm of Manisha and Kulkarni and the excitement of the migrant children.

Tytti and Esa wanted to help in some way and looking for sponsors from Finland seemed the best way .

At the moment there are 75 Kummit sponsoring 3 schools and the fourth group is soon formed. The first school sponsored by Kummit is in the mining area of Tuem, North Goa and started 2008.

Beginning of 2010  started the second school in Sade Waghotan mining area in South Maharastra.

Third school in Gujarat State. The schools are doing fine and the groupe of Kummit is growing ...

Every year Kummit are also giving some money for Tytti and Esa  to buy something extra for the children for Christmas.

When Tytti and Esa come to Goa, they bring together with some other Kummit, more than a hundread kilos of small clothes for the children.

Very few of Kummit have visited the schools in Goa, but the Moving School children are close to everyones heart!
